Have you ever asked yourself the question, “Why have I been created?”, or “Why does God leave us here on earth after salvation?”

To discover what your real purpose and destiny is in life, you have to approach the question from the divine viewpoint.

Isaiah 55:8-9

8 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts,

Nor are your ways My ways," declares the LORD.

9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth,

So are My ways higher than your ways

And My thoughts than your thoughts.

You should understand that God has a specific purpose and plan for your life. He has known from eternity past that you would believe, and has planned something wonderful for your life.

Romans 8:28-31

28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren;

30 and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?

God knew what He was doing from the beginning, and He decided how to best shape the lives of those who would believe. When you believe and understand that God has a purpose for your life, it will reduce stress, increase your contentment, and give you an eternal perspective.

EVERYTHING above and below, visible and invisible, begins with God and find purpose in Him.

Colossians 1:16-17

16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities -- all things have been created through Him and for Him.

17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

The search for purpose in life has perplexed people forever because our search usually begins with the wrong starting point – ourselves! You were not created by yourself, so how can you tell yourself what you were created for?! You were made BY God and FOR God, and until you understand that fact, your life will never make sense. It is only “in God” that we can discover our true identity, meaning, and purpose in life. Every other path is a dead end.

Isaiah 45:12

12 "It is I who made the earth, and created man upon it.

I stretched out the heavens with My hands

And I ordained all their host.

What’s the easiest way to discover the purpose of an invention? It’s to ask its creator! The same is true for discovering your purpose in life – ask your Creator! God has not left us in the dark to wander around and figure out the true meaning of life. The Word of God is our owner’s manual. It explains why we are here, what we should be doing, and what our future holds.

God has a plan for you, and it involves much more than the few decades you will live on this earth. It is way more than the “opportunity of a lifetime!” When you live your life in view of this eternity that God has for you, your values will change.

Matthew 25:34

34 "Then the King will say to those on His right, "Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
