God is Immutable.
Yes, that’s a big word. All it means is that God doesn’t change. He is perfect and absolutely stable.
Malachi 3:6a
6 "For I, the
LORD, do not change;
His Word never changes:
Psalms 119:89
89 Forever, O LORD,
Your word is settled
in heaven.
Isaiah 40:8
8 The grass withers,
the flower fades,
But the word of our
God stands forever.
Face it, none of us are really stable. We are all inconsistent. We sometimes make promises and don’t keep them. This can never happen with God. He is perfectly unchanging; He cannot be inconsistent or unfaithful.
Lamentations 3:22-23
22 The LORD'S
lovingkindnesses indeed never cease,
For His compassions
never fail.
23 They are new every
morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
Sometimes you put your faith in someone, and they end up letting you down. Maybe they tried, but they didn’t do what they said they would do. Maybe they just changed their mind. This can never happen with God. We can have complete confidence that God is always going to do exactly as He says He is! You can always count on God keeping His promises:

that He should repent;
Has He said, and will
He not do it?
Or has He spoken, and
will He not make it good?
(Don’t you love that
verse!)
When you face problems and difficulties, you can have faith that God is not going to change. He promises to be faithful in protecting you:
2 Thessalonians 3:3
3 But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil.
