John 14:6
6 Jesus said to him,
"I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but
through Me.
Yesterday we saw this fantastic statement Jesus made. It is a great summary of the Christian life. He is the way (the entrance into the plan of God), the truth (the means of accomplishing the plan of God), and the life.
When you enter God’s plan, by believing in Jesus Christ, and then take in the truth of the Word of God, you are on your way to an unbelievable life.
The Greek word used here for life is the word ZOE. This doesn’t mean life like you are just breathing, or just eternal life, but it means an absolute fullness of life, or real and genuine life. It is a life filled with happiness and contentment in every circumstance. God has provided for you, {{name}}, a life beyond your wildest dreams and prayers!
Ephesians 3:20
20 Now to Him who is
able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think,
according to the power that works within us,
John 10:10
10
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may
have life, and have it abundantly.
No matter how wild and seemingly impossible your dreams may be, God has provided something even greater than anything you can think of. This life is the direct result of the WAY and the TRUTH.
This does not just refer to eternity! Jesus came to give us salvation, and to give us the means to receive this superlife, NOW here on earth.
John 5:24
24 "Truly,
truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has
eternal life, (notice it doesn’t say
will have eternal life, but HAS eternal life!) and
does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
This ZOE life is given to each one of us through taking in God’s Word.
John 6:27
27 "Do not work
for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life,
which the Son of Man will give to you, for on Him the Father, God, has set His
seal."
John 6:63
63
"It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words
that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.
This life will allow us to be totally content in any and
every circumstance in life (Philippians
There is a place you can reach spiritually where you do not need to be rescued from problems and difficulties to remain content. To live in Him, and in the life He has provided through His truth, is to be free from worry, anxiety and frustration, and to live in the state of mind with total peace that cannot be taken away.
John 20:31
31 but these have
been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God;
and that believing you may have life in His name.
